Deb and Tom Mortimer and winemaker Jim Sanders crafted a masterful wine with their 2018 Chardonnay. A whopping 83 cases were produced for the vintage, and we were lucky to get one of those precious cases. It is so good, and words don’t do it justice.

‘The 2018 Le Cadeau Chardonnay is crisp, mineral-driven, with just a touch of oak all in perfect balance produced entirely from estate fruit grown in rocky volcanicbasalt. Both the aromatic profile and palate complexity are developed through the vineyard-driven attributes of clonal diversity, soil diversity, and sunlight “aspect.” The 2018 Chardonnay was aged 18 months in primarily neutral French oak barrels, with five additional months in stainless steel on lees to develop layers and complexity before being bottled unfiltered.’ – Winemaker Notes
